Message from our Chair:

It is with a grain of sadness that, as Chair of MAP Board of Directors, I announce that the organization is closing definitely its business operation as a non-profit. In its over eight years of existence as a 501(c)3, MAP accomplished various important initiatives in fulfillment of its mission. MAP has no pending business with partners and it is in good standing with regulatory agencies. If you have any inquiry, please submit it to epernia@miamiaidsprojectinc.org. In addition, the Latino Southern REACH Final Report webpage will be accessible until May 2018.

Sincerely, Jesus Felizzola, MD, MHSA, MA

Logo

Green
The green color symbolizes self-respect and well being and is believed to be the master healer. It contains the powerful energy of growth and the ability to sustain the changes necessary to be transformed. The green letters in the MAP logo are an invitation to growth and offer protection from fears and anxieties connected with the human condition.

White
Strictly speaking, white is not a color, but rather the manifestation of all color; the energy of light. It symbolizes openness and stands for wholeness. The white background in the MAP logo is our choice for a fresh beginning and represents an instrument that can be used to clear blocks from one’s path.

Red Ribbon
The awareness ribbon colored red symbolizes both the fight against the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome and drug prevention. The red color symbolizes passion and love. The red ribbon in the MAP logo represents, in addition to passion for what we do and love for others; tolerance towards those affected by the HIV/AIDS and substance abuse conditions. We use the red color as a sign of warning not to carelessly ignore two of the biggest challenges that a human being can face.
